Fever, dehydration, hair pulled out, vomiting: Rox looked skeletal when we found him!

1. He was in a critical condition!

Rox, a two-year-old cat, was found wandering in the streets. He was in skeletal condition and his fur was ripped apart due to flea allergy. As such, we took him under our care and got him dewormed.

2. He contracted distemper and had to be hospitalised...

Furthermore, Rox was also diagnosed with cat distemper, had a high fever and constantly suffered from vomiting. He was severely dehydrated that hospitalisation for several days was necessary. A course of treatment helped stabilise him, however, he remains susceptible and sometimes still suffers from vomiting fits.

3. Blankets would keep him warm for the winter

A set of blankets would assist Rox in resting better and maintaining his body temperature. Additionally, it would provide increased comfort to him, which would certainly cheer him up after all he's been through.

4. The association is hit by a distemper epidemic!

Currently, we care for about thirty cats in foster homes and roughly the same number as community cats. We're facing a challenging situation with the continuous arrival of kittens.

Unfortunately, distemper has spread even into the foster homes! Several deaths have occurred due to this disease...
