Iris is a 33-year-old donkey, who we took in at the end of August following the death of her owner. He had been sick for a long time and could no longer look after her.
Without his care, her health declined: on arrival, her hooves were infected due to a parasite. We, thus, began necessary treatments. She also has a lump on her neck, the result of insulin resistance...
A supplemental diet of pellets would allow Iris to gradually regain her strength. In doing so, she could better her condition and face the winter with more resilience.
Our association currently looks after over 200 animals, which is a significant responsibility. With financial and material resources limited, daily management can be challenging. Despite our commitment, it's hard finding the necessary funds to feed everyone!
