Damaged teeth, fragile condition: Surprise tends to lose weight easily!

1. She tends to weaken…

Surprise is an 18-year-old mare, whose mother wasn’t fed enough during her pregnancy. As a consequence, Surprise has suffered, retaining some vulnerabilities. She loses weight very easily. Her teeth are damaged, and there's a high risk she could get an Esophageal obstruction!

2. Pellets would help her regain her strength

Moistened pellets would allow Surprise to regain energy easily. Having access to this type of food every day would help her maintain her condition and stay in shape. This way, she will be more likely to get through the winter healthily.

3. We are overwhelmed by the cost of care…

We are continually facing financial difficulties with our ageing horses as they need constant care. Our association is supported by only three volunteers with limited resources who finance everything out of their small pensions. This cannot go on any longer!
