1. In Serbia, Ivana and Ana will soon run out of kibble to feed the 65 dogs in their shelter. Without help, they will starve!

%%%

"We have rescued many dogs in recent weeks, most of them in terrible condition: a dog who is both deaf and blind, puppies suffering from parvovirus, dogs hit by cars—some with fractures, others requiring amputations... Emergency cases that couldn’t wait; they wouldn’t have survived another day on the street!

Today, we are completely overwhelmed. The shelter is bursting at the seams, and donations are so low that we’re struggling to feed everyone. For the past two weeks, we’ve been rationing kibble, mixing it with stale bread to stretch our supplies. Sadly, it’s not enough: some dogs are suffering from diarrhea, vomiting, and weight loss.

Without kibble, they could become seriously ill. And with already enormous veterinary expenses, we don’t even know how we could treat them if their condition worsened. We are at our wit's end—exhausted and stressed. This campaign is our last hope to help our dogs survive the winter!"

2. The 50 street dogs who depend on Ivana and Ana are also in danger: without kibble, they are doomed!

%%%

"Right now, we care for about 50 street dogs—50 dogs who wait for us every day, hoping we’ll bring them a moment of relief. These dogs are incredibly vulnerable and are the first to suffer when our kibble supplies run low. During those times, we have no choice but to prioritize the shelter dogs—they have no way of finding food on their own.

But that doesn’t mean the stray dogs are better off. Quite the opposite: they face rain, cold, and dangerous roads. If we can’t continue feeding them, they’ll have to wander miles in search of food, facing countless risks. Many will end up starving, hit by cars, or simply too weak to survive the harsh winter."

3. Fragile and aging, Pokie may not survive the winter if Ivana and Ana can no longer bring him kibble.

###

"Pokie has spent his whole life in the Avnoj neighborhood. He’s been there since he was a puppy—someone abandoned him in front of an apartment building. We met him during our regular rounds feeding the stray dogs.

Pokie has always had health problems, especially with his ears and intestines. Keeping him healthy is a constant challenge. If he doesn’t eat properly, he often suffers from diarrhea and loses weight quickly.

He’s already too skinny, and winter is fast approaching. He doesn’t stand a chance of surviving out in the cold if we can’t provide the kibble he desperately needs!"

4. Donations are plummeting, dogs keep arriving, and needs are skyrocketing: Ivana and Ana can no longer afford to buy kibble.

###

"With so many dogs to feed every day, our kibble needs are enormous and cost a fortune. Winter makes things even worse: expenses rise because we need more food, stronger shelters, and straw to help the dogs survive the cold.

But donations are insufficient. We’ve had to buy kibble on credit, and our veterinary debts keep piling up. We don’t know how much longer they’ll tolerate delayed payments.

Meanwhile, sick or injured dogs keep arriving, and adoptions have slowed to a halt. The situation is unbearable. What we need most now is kibble! It would get us through the winter and give our dogs some warmth and security. Without it, we won’t make it."

5. Ivana and Ana are not asking for money, only kibble to keep their dogs from starving.

###

"Our commitment to rescuing stray dogs began with a deeply upsetting event: mass killings carried out by the government-run animal control center. We couldn’t turn a blind eye, so we decided to act.

Since then, people have come to us for anything related to abandoned or mistreated dogs—sometimes even for animals that actually have owners. Helping people understand their responsibility toward their pets and the importance of spaying and neutering has never been easy. Even today, we face countless challenges, especially from those who reject dogs and don’t want them in the streets.

Rescuing abandoned animals is exhausting—physically and emotionally. Stress has become part of our daily lives. But every time we save a life, it all feels worth it. These dogs give us so much love and joy. To us, they are not just animals—they are so much more."

6. If this campaign succeeds, Ivana and Ana will not receive any money, but 1600 kg of kibble, delivered from the Animal Webaction logistics centre in Serbia.

Animal Webaction has a logistics platform directly in Serbia, which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.

7. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail.
