Mouth ulcers, loss of appetite: poor Grizette has a calicivirus!

1. She has a severe inflammation in the mouth…

Grizette is a two-year-old free roaming cat, who has lost two litters of kittens in succession. They died after catching a disease she carried and recently triggered: calicivirus.

Inflammation and mouth ulcers are making it difficult for her to eat. Hence, we are giving her medication to relieve her discomfort.

2. Canned food would allow her to regain strength without pain

Canned food would provide nutritious meals for Grizette. Tasty and moist, such food would also aid in swallowing her medications. She could thus start feeding again without any pain.

3. We are overwhelmed by escalating costs…

We have many rescues to handle, including often very ill or distressed kittens. In addition to socialising these young cats, we have about 80 other cats to feed and care for every day!

The resources of the association are limited and every new commitment increases the workload and expenses…
