Little Hugo was poisoned and spent a week on a drip!

1. He has been poisoned!

Hugo was abandoned at one of our feeding sites. He had been poisoned and was in a coma by the time we found him...

2. His health is in a very precarious state...

Hugo spent a week at the vet's on an IV drip. He's a bit better today, but his condition is still fragile. He hasn't been dewormed – the vet says we need to wait, as his system hasn't eliminated all the toxic substances he ingested yet... this goes to show how severe it was for him! It was a close-call...

3. He is traumatised

Hugo is still very young but he is extremely anxious. This whole ordeal has impacted him deeply. It's been anything but an easy start in life for him! The trauma is clear to see, he barely lets me come near him...

4. Canned food would help him recover and grow peacefully

Wet kitten food would be beneficial for Hugo. It would help him regain his strength and grow normally, despite all the ordeals he's already been through! It would be a huge comfort for him and a way to gain confidence again.

5. Our resources dwindle every day!

We don’t have any subsidies. All the expenses, including veterinary care, are on us! Sponsorships have become rare and online fundraising often falls through. With inflation, even in-store collections struggle to work! Yet, the requests for assistance don't stop...
