Poor Pinto is going blind!

1. He's turning blind!

Pinto, a 5-year-old pony, joined our sanctuary about ten days ago. He was living in a club but was unable to stay due to his vision deteriorating. The vet suspects a cataract or inflammation of the eye. What's certain is that Pinto is going to become blind! We just don't know yet how long it'll take...

Already, he can barely make out anything! He's completely lost and in constant panic as he can't understand what's happening to him. We must keep him in a very small, secure paddock or stable. If we let him out on his own, he can cause damage and injure himself as he can't see...

2. Pellets to help see him through this ordeal

Pinto's world has been turned upside down by this abrupt change. He needs a suitable diet to help him confront this hardship and become accustomed to his new life. Nutrient-dense pellets and quality haylage could bring not just comfort, but also fortify his immune system. Good nutrition could truly provide the support and peace he needs to handle this difficult time.

3. Veterinary costs are suffocating us...

Our association primarily takes in farm animals who are nearing their end or suffering from severe health conditions. The animals stay with us until their last day. They require constant, and often very expensive, care...

Altogether, there are more than 150 animals who depend on us every day. Yet the donations are increasingly scarce... Over the recent weeks, a major surgery for a horse and a rescue operation involving hens and rabbits have left us completely overwhelmed. We really need a helping hand to pull through!
