In addition to canned food, this collection will enable Minette to receive a shelter if the target is reached.
Minette is a free-roaming cat who has chronic cat flu. Her eyes are watering, she's coughing, and finds it difficult to breathe. Overwhelmed by the virus, she is very thin!
Protein-rich canned food could provide Minette with a way to regain her strength and weight. Daily intake of good nutrients could improve her overall condition, while allowing her to ingest medicines that would assist in her recovery.
Minette lives outside, in a small village where she has no shelter. Being exposed to all sorts of weather is taking its toll on her day after day... Given her health problems, we are increasingly worried for her, and fear she may not survive the winter without shelter...
With a shelter, Minette could find protection during severe cold and bad weather. She would no longer be forced to sleep on the ground in all conditions and could recover more easily.
In addition to the usual stray cats, we are facing a significant increase in kittens to feed, along with their mothers. All of them are ill!
They suffer from malnutrition and/or cat flu, which requires enhanced nutrition. Our goal is to restore them to health to give them a chance of being adopted and leave the streets. But we are desperately short of funds...
