Suffering from throat cancer, Canou is on the brink of surgery...

1. She has cancer...

Canou is a cat of about eight years old, who has throat cancer. The vet is scheduled to operate on her next week, and remove the tumour if possible (otherwise, a treatment plan will be implemented).

For now, Canou is extremely thin and in a poor condition. Owing to her illness, she can no longer clean herself by licking.

2. Canned food would help her regain strength

Wet food would be perfect for Canou after her operation. It would be an effective way for her to stay hydrated, and replenish her energy without causing too much pain to her throat.

3. She lives outdoors and has nowhere to go!

As Canou has dirty fur, she smells bad and no foster family wants her. So, she lives outdoors, seeking shelter wherever she can. But the location is damp, and with the winter cold, we worry she will not survive without proper shelter.

4. A shelter would protect her from the cold and rain

With a cat house, Canou could seek adequate shelter in case of severe cold and bad weather. This way, she won’t have to sleep on the ground in all types of weather, and could rest more effectively.

5. We're going through a very difficult period...

We’re facing an increasingly tough situation, with a growing number of cats to manage and a dip in donations. New feeding sites have been identified, which is increasing our workload!

Numerous sick cats have led us to incur significant veterinary costs, and we currently have about forty cats to feed on the various sites...
