Heart problems, intestinal issues: Stella needs a suitable diet!

1. A heart condition affects her daily life…

Stella is a six-year-old cat, who has a cardiomyopathy. In the past few weeks, her condition has deteriorated: she has lost a lot of weight and her heart is struggling to function.

We are therefore giving her treatment, but this is causing her intestinal problems… An ultrasound scan is scheduled soon, to see if she still has fluid in the chest and around the heart.

2. She carries the scars of an accident!

After being knocked down by a motorbike, Stella suffered a jaw fracture. As a result, she lost many of her teeth and can hardly eat dry food anymore. She also lost an eye and suffered a deviation of the nasal septum.

3. Canned food could help her regain strength

Canned wet food could be a great source of support for Stella, given her dental condition. It would be a good way for her to replenish vitamins and quality proteins, in order to stay healthy despite her health problems.

4. An epidemic of cat flu grips the cats from the association!

We are faced with a major outbreak of cat flu, which effects both the feeding points and the shelter. A significant number of kittens are ill, treatment is expensive, and we are struggling to manage the situation with the few donations received so far!

The collections that we organise will not be enough to cover the veterinary costs accumulated in recent weeks…
