1. In Morocco, Nassima and Rachid are almost out of kibble to feed the many dogs they care for in their shelter and on the street. They will starve to death if no one intervenes!
"Whether at the shelter or on the streets, the lack of kibble is now painfully evident. We've been rationing the kibble portions for 2 weeks... The dogs are hungry, and it’s making them nervous and aggressive. They’re fighting more and more often... But we know it’s not their fault. They’re not mean, not at all—it’s just their survival instinct kicking in.
It breaks our hearts to see them like this. We’re afraid they’ll end up seriously hurting each other, because we won’t always be able to separate them… The only way to end this situation and bring them some relief is to provide them with kibble. They need it to survive!"
2. Without kibble, the association will no longer be able to save stray dogs: they will be doomed to die on the streets or be killed at the pound!
"If we can’t find any kibble, everything will fall apart. The dogs won’t have anything to eat, and we know what that means. The authorities will intervene, and their solution is culling. They’ll only see the danger that these hungry dogs might pose...
Every dog, every gaze we encounter each day, risks being condemned. They don’t understand why their presence is a problem. They’re only trying to survive, and without kibble, they’ll be judged and executed for it.
We feel powerless in the face of this outcome. These dogs, who follow us with trust, hoping we’ll provide them with enough to survive one more day… Their lives hang by such a fragile thread. Without kibble, we fear that everything will collapse."
3. Donations are too rare, and the organization's calls for help are making no difference: there’s no longer enough to buy kibble!
"These past few months have been particularly difficult. Donations have drastically decreased as our kibble reserves dwindled before our eyes. We've made appeals on social media, contacted the media, organized collections, and reached out to companies, but nothing has worked. Attempts to draw attention to our critical situation have not borne fruit, and the few responses we received turned into unfulfilled promises.
My frustration and worry grow each day, and the dogs sense my stress, which only makes things worse. We are caught in an infernal spiral from which we cannot escape alone."
4. Nassima isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.
"The first time I reached out to a stray dog, I knew my heart would be forever tied to their cause. It's not a choice, but an undeniable truth that presents itself every day. Isolation and sadness are inevitably part of the journey—there is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing an animal suffer in silence, with no one to help... And I can change that.
I am physically and emotionally exhausted, but the duty to never abandon those who need me gives me the strength to overcome obstacles. The love they give back often makes up for all my hardships, and that is the greatest reward."
5. If this campaign succeeds, Nassima and Rachid will not receive any money, but 1500 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics centre in Morocco.
