Kidney issues, abscesses... Vagabond was in a catastrophic state!

1. He has kidney issues…

Vagabond is a seven-year-old cat suffering from renal failure. As his kidneys no longer properly eliminate toxins from his body, he requires treatment and vitamin supplementation.

2. A severe immune disease has left him incredibly vulnerable!

Vagabond carries the Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome (FIV). As a result, he has great difficulty healing. Following an abscess on his tail, we had to perform numerous treatments to prevent amputation. He is currently recuperating…

3. He'll soon return to the harsh cold!

Vagabond generally lives at a feeding site, since he's far too wild to adapt to indoor life. We brought him in only for this period of recovery, which has been challenging due to his aversion to confinement.

We plan to release him back into a safe site at the end of winter, but we fear that exposure to adverse weather conditions may only worsen his health…

4. With a shelter, he could take cover from the rain

A shelter would offer Vagabond a place to take refuge in times of significant rain or wind once he's back on site. It would provide him a safe space to recover more effectively.

5. Between the typhus outbreak and financial struggles, the association is going through a rough patch!

At the start of this year, the association's accounts are already in the red. We're dealing with several cases of cat flu, which doesn't bode well… As for the cats, there are so many that we've stopped counting!
