Shakira is an elderly cat, who is very wild. Unluckily, she’s contracted calicivirus and her gums are seriously inflamed. Eating has become particularly difficult for her, which explains why she’s lost so much weight. Hence, we have a treatment to give her...

2. She lives in the cold!

Shakira lives at a feeding site, as she is too wild to tolerate indoor life. But being exposed to the cold weakens her... We're very worried about her!

3. A shelter could protect her from adverse weather

A shelter would afford Shakira a place to take refuge in the event of heavy rain or wind. She would be well-protected there, and could recover more when resting. It would be a real relief for her!

4. Between distemper and financial woes, the association is in rough straits!

At the start of the year, the association's finances are already in the red. We have several cases of distemper, which doesn’t bode well... As for the cats, they are so numerous that we have stopped counting!
