1. She was abandoned

Choupette is a 4-year-old cat who was part of a group of cats abandoned in a village. Her previous owners moved away, leaving behind a dozen cats to fend for themselves.

2. Her teeth cause her immense pain

Choupette suffers from severe dental problems: multiple abscesses, severe gingivitis complicated by calicivirus. Her teeth are so damaged that they are loosening, causing her significant pain whenever she tries to eat. A total dental extraction is likely needed, according to the veterinarian's opinion.

3. Canned food would allow her to eat without pain

As a result of her dental problems, Choupette needs a diet of canned food that doesn't require chewing. This soft food would allow her to eat properly without suffering, while her dental care is being carried out.

4. Our association is facing many challenges

We take care of 40 cats and kittens in foster homes, plus 80 free cats that need daily feeding. With fewer foster homes available and the approach of spring signalling the arrival of new kittens, the situation becomes worrisome.
