Tigrette, an 8-year-old cat, has lived on the streets. It's left her with scars: she's nervous and suffers from calicivirus, a disease she likely contracted during that time.
The calicivirus causes bouts of severe fatigue in Tigrette. And with her missing teeth, she struggles to eat properly, which exacerbates her condition.
Wet food would be indispensable to make eating easier for Tigrette, allowing her to eat without having to chew, particularly during her sickness bouts. It would help her regain strength and better endure her illness.
The vet fees are skyrocketing: the price of antibiotics has doubled and food is becoming more expensive. We welcome many sick or abandoned cats, but the donations are erratic and insufficient. We do everything for them, but our budget no longer allows for it...
