With the cold, Germaine needs to be supplemented…

1. She needs to be socialised...

Germaine is a ewe of about 6 years, who we have taken in because her owner could no longer take care of her. As she was not vaccinated, we took care of it. We'll need to gradually build up her trust, as she's not used to being handled...

2. Pellets would help her gain strength

With a diet of pellets, we could gradually get Germaine used to human presence. This would also be a great way for her to gain strength, in order to become more resistant to the cold.

3. The times are extremely tough!

We have an increasing number of animals to look after and have had to face a typhus epidemic amongst cats.

With the wind and rain this winter, the enclosures and shelters for equines have been damaged. Some animals, unfortunately, have their feet in water... Not to mention, the hay quality is poor this year, thus it isn't nourishing enough!
