Les Chats Libres de la Canterrane decided to move forward the ending date of their campaign because the quantity left in their stock of canned food is highly critical.

Poupette keeps having recurring bouts of calicivirus!

1. She was found very young, in distress

We rescued Poupette from a village following a call from people worried about her. She was only 3 or 4 months old at the time.

2. A severe infection caused her to howl in pain

She rapidly developed a heavy dose of calicivirus. This illness caused her immense suffering. She was crying, howling when we came to her aid...

3. The slightest stress triggers a new attack

Her calicivirus is terrifying. The slightest stress worsens her condition and triggers new episodes...

4. Canned food would allow her to eat without pain

Eating is a challenge for her. Wet food would allow her to feed without pain and regain the energy she needs.

5. Too many sick cats, and not enough resources

We are facing a large outbreak of calicivirus. Many cats are sick and require care. Veterinary costs are high, and our resources are already too low. We fear we may no longer meet the needs of the animals we help.
