Les Chats Libres de la Canterrane decided to move forward the ending date of their campaign because the quantity left in their stock of canned food is highly critical.

Souris is suffering, his condition is deteriorating!

1. She was left outside because of her illness

Souris was found at a feeding site. Everything suggests that she was abandoned because she had calicivirus. She was puny and very thin...

2. She screams in pain when she eats

The calicivirus is causing her a lot of pain. She drools, has trouble breathing and doesn't wash herself anymore. She doesn't eat anymore either. The pain is so bad that she screams sometimes!

3. Canned food would allow her to eat without suffering

She can't eat kibble. Her mouth is too painful, and contact with dry food is unbearable. A wet diet would allow her to eat without making her injuries worse. She could regain her strength and cope better with the illness.

4. Too many sick cats, and not enough resources

We are facing a major calicivirus epidemic. Many cats are sick and need care. Veterinary costs are high, and our resources are already too low. We are afraid that we will no longer be able to provide for the needs of the animals we help.
