Refuge Cheval Nature En Aquitaine decided to move forward the ending date of their campaign because the quantity left in their stock of pellets is highly critical.

1. An illness has made her exceptionally weak...

Fidji is a 33 year old mare, suffering from Cushing's disease. Her coat is ragged and her hooves are starting to become sensitive. She's also very stiff in her legs due to arthritis: it has even happened that she couldn’t put weight on one of her hind legs because her fetlock was frozen stiff!

2. She can no longer chew!

Fidji has lost many teeth, and can no longer grind her food. Eating hay has turned into an impossible mission for her...

3. Wet pellets could help her recover her strength

A diet like moistened pellets would be perfect for Fidji. She could easily ingest these, providing a daily source of excellent nutrients. This would be an opportunity for her to regain strength and maintain her condition, despite her ill health.

4. The association is going through a tough time...

Some of our horses that had been adopted were once again abandoned, and have come back to the association. Currently, we have 12 charges to look after, which implies significant expenses.

We're doing our best to find funds, but it is not enough as donations decreased drastically!
