Kidney problems, abscesses... Vagabond was in a catastrophic state!

1. He has kidney problems…

Vagabond is a seven-year-old cat who suffers from kidney failure. As his kidneys are no longer efficiently clearing toxins from his body, he requires treatment and a vitamin supplement.

2. He has a considerably weakening immune disorder!

Vagabond has Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome (FIV). As a result of this, he struggles to heal. Following an abscess on his tail, we have provided him with extensive treatment to avoid amputation. He is now on the mend…

3. He will soon be back in the cold!

Vagabond originally lived in a feeding area as he is too feral to cope with indoors lifestyle. We have accommodated him only for his recuperation period, which he finds challenging due to confinement.

We will release him to a secure site by the end of the winter, but we are concerned that exposure to the elements will weaken him further...

4. Canned food would let him regain strength safely

Food specially designed for renal disorders would be perfect for Vagabond. Such canned food would assist in rehydration and provide him with a nutrient-rich diet whilst easing the strain on his kidneys. It would also be an effective vehicle for administering his medication.

5. With typhus and financial issues, the association is having a rough time!

At the start of the year, the association's finances were already in the red. We have several cases of typhus, which doesn't bode well… As for the cats, there are so many we've stopped counting!
