Since Lizy has almost no teeth left, she can't eat dry cat food...

1. She had cystitis!

Lizy is a 20-year-old cat who had a bout of cystitis. We placed her in a foster home and treated her. It seems like the acute phase of the infection has passed...

2. She's missing some teeth…

As she's gotten older, Lizy has lost a good number of her teeth. As such, she can no longer eat kibble, as it's impossible for her to chew it!

3. With canned food, she could continue to regain strength

Wet food like canned food would help Lizy stay well hydrated and maintain a stable weight. Suitable for her age, this type of food can help prevent potential health issues, such as diabetes or renal failure.

4. Many senior cats need our help…

The only help we get comes from 30 million friends, for veterinary costs. With 54 cats in the shelter, many of whom are seniors, we need appropriate and costly food items. However, our resources are limited, and we're desperately short of canned food!
