"The number of dogs I’m caring for has increased in recent weeks. I’ve taken in a mother and her four puppies, plus two more adult dogs. They’re finally safe, but I desperately need help. The mother is injured and needs surgery, the puppies need their vaccines, and most urgently—we’re running out of kibble…
I’m reaching out to everyone—groups, pages, social media—hoping for a helping hand. Some people do help, and I’m endlessly grateful to them, but sadly, it’s not enough. With everything going on in the world right now, donations have dropped, and many people simply can’t support us… To make things worse, kibble prices keep skyrocketing—even the cheapest brands are now out of reach!
My dogs aren’t eating enough. I’ve already started reducing their portions... It’s heartbreaking not to be able to provide them with something as basic as food. If this campaign fails, I don’t know what I’ll do. I refuse to give up, but I also know I can’t do this alone…"
"I can already see the effects of the kibble shortage: the dogs are more nervous, more impatient at mealtime, and tensions are rising between them. It’s not panic yet, but I can feel it brewing… Hunger changes everything.
Kibble isn’t just about filling their stomachs. It keeps them calm, healthy, at peace… Without it, everything falls apart. I know this too well—if I don’t find a way to feed them soon, these small fights—still harmless for now—could escalate tomorrow.
We need help, now. This campaign is our only chance to ensure they get a meal, to keep them safe. Without it… honestly, I don’t even want to imagine what comes next."
"Luna is about two years old. She’s been at the shelter for a month now. I found her on the street with her four puppies—injured, unable to move properly. A man hurt her, breaking her leg in two places… The fracture is so severe that the only option is amputation—she needs urgent surgery!
But for that, she has to stay strong. Without proper nutrition, her condition could deteriorate, making the surgery even riskier. And as a nursing mother, she also needs strength to feed her puppies.
Luna’s survival depends on this kibble. She needs it, now."
"Our financial situation is extremely fragile. Donations are scarce, the number of dogs I care for keeps growing because I keep finding animals in distress… And on top of that, everything is getting more expensive. Covering vet care, buying kibble, providing for basic needs—it’s a daily battle. The bills are piling up, so is the debt, and every day, we’re just holding on as best we can.
We have ideas, projects to improve things, but for now, we’re just in survival mode. I’m afraid the little help we still get will disappear completely. Right now, I owe money to the vet, there are unpaid bills, and above all, we don’t have enough kibble.
This is a matter of survival, and I don’t know how much longer we can hold on. Kibble isn’t a luxury—it’s the bare minimum to keep these dogs alive."
"Seeing these dogs wandering the streets, their eyes full of despair—it never gets easier. Every time, my heart clenches just like it did on the first day. They all deserve love, safety, protection… but too many of them remain alone, starving, terrified. So when I take one in, when I know they won’t have to sleep outside anymore, it’s an immense relief. That’s what keeps me going.
No matter how hard it gets, I won’t give up. Even with my own health issues, as long as I can still stand, I’ll keep fighting for them. Because in truth, they are the ones who give me strength—strength I could never fully repay.
Caring for them is a full-time commitment—feeding them, treating them, finding solutions when money runs out… Of course, it’s hard. But knowing I’ve changed their lives—that’s priceless. My dream is for them all to find real homes. I know that won’t happen for every single one of them, but if more people took just a moment to look, to understand, maybe things could change."
