Maya is a 24-year-old trotting mare and a former broodmare. We rescued her to prevent her from ending up in the slaughterhouse. As she ages, she becomes more vulnerable and hay is not enough to keep her healthy during winter...

2. Pellets would help her regain strength

Providing Maya with a supplement of pellets would be perfect. By getting a daily boost of energy, she could regain her strength and maintain her health, despite the cold. It would be a good means for her to hold on until the grass grows back in the meadows.

3. Financial uncertainty is becoming increasingly disabling...
