Rodney's snout is severely damaged!

1. He grew up on the streets

Rodney was born on the streets and never had a family. He doesn’t trust anyone and always keeps his distance. He sometimes visits a feeding site, but remains extremely wary.

2. His muzzle is damaged...

He's missing part of his upper lip ... Cancer is suspected. He also suffers from calicivirus, which makes the inside of his mouth extremely painful. Eating is a challenge, each contact with dry food causes him burns and irritation!

We want to take him to the vet but since he's ill, he has become even more fearful. Capturing him to help is very complicated...

3. Blankets would help him withstand the cold better

Temperatures are low and Rodney must face the cold without protection. Blankets would help him better conserve his body heat and save his energy. By staying warm, he could better resist the harsh conditions of winter.

5. Too many sick cats, and not enough resources

We are facing a major calicivirus epidemic. Many cats are ill and require care. The veterinary costs are high, and our resources are already too low. We are afraid that we won’t be able to meet the needs of the animals we help.
