It's bitterly cold, and Lucifer, already weakened, is struggling to warm up!

1. He was left outside, fending for himself

Lucifer was left outside, fending for himself, a few months ago in November. He is shy and difficult to approach. He has nonetheless been sterilised, but he is still alone in the face of daily challenges.

2. He is battling the cold without reserves

The winter is here, and temperatures are particularly low. Without sufficient reserves, Lucifer struggles to cope.

3. Eating causes him pain

Lucifer has calicivirus. This illness causes pain in his jaw, which makes meals difficult. He needs strength, but eating hurts him. His condition can worsen if he cannot eat properly.

4. Blankets could help him face the cold

Temperatures are very low at the moment. Blankets could help him retain his body heat. They would protect him from the cold and conserve his energy. By staying warm, he could better resist the tough winter conditions.

5. We've got too many sick cats and not enough resources!

We are dealing with a large outbreak of calicivirus. Many cats are ill and require care. Vet costs are high, and our resources are already stretched too thin. We fear that we may not be able to provide for the animals we help.
