Renal problems, abscesses... Vagabond was in a catastrophic state!

1. He has kidney problems...

Vagabond is a seven-year-old cat, who is suffering from kidney failure. Since his kidneys do not effectively eliminate toxins from his body anymore, he requires treatment and vitamin supplementation.

2. A serious immune disorder greatly weakens him!

Vagabond has feline immunodeficiency syndrome (FIV). Because of this, he finds it very difficult to heal. After an abscess in his tail, we had to provide numerous treatments to avoid amputation. He is now convalescing...

3. Soon, he'll be back in the cold again...

Vagabond initially lives at a feeding station as he is too wild to endure indoor life. We only took him in for his recovery, which he finds overwhelming due to his confinement.

We will release him to a secure site at the end of the winter, but we fear that exposure to harsh weather will weaken him...

4. Blankets could help to keep him warm

A pile of blankets would help Vagabond to maintain his body warmth once he is back on site. It would provide a spot for him to snuggle-up away from the cold, and he wouldn't have to sleep directly on the frozen ground. It would offer him real comfort!

5. Between the cat flu and financial difficulties, the association is going through hard times...

At the beginning of this year, the association's accounts are already in deficit. We have several cases of cat flu, which does not bode well... As for the cats, they are so numerous that we've stopped counting!
