Poor Xéna's intestines are hanging out!

1. She has her intestines outside her body!

We found Xena at one of our feeding locations. She's not exactly feral, leading us to believe she was likely abandoned. This poor little kitty is in alarming condition: her intestines have protruded out of her body, a dire situation that calls for a surgical operation costing an estimated 1500 euros!

We have been caring for her for three weeks now. She is very small and thin, and we suspect her weakened state is due to too many pregnancies at such a young age.

2. Blankets would help to keep her clean

Xena's recovery is ongoing and her condition is precarious due to her intestinal trouble. She absolutely needs clean blankets where she can rest comfortably during her treatment period.

The blankets we use need to be changed out regularly to sustain perfect hygiene and mitigate any infection risk, absolutely vital for a cat as vulnerable as her.

3. We are going through a challenging period...

Our small association is going through a very tough time. Without any subsidies, we bear the sole responsibility for the care of 8 horses, 2 dogs, and more than 30 feral cats. Despite holding down jobs to fund their needs, the situation is becoming critical.

Organising in-store collections is becoming increasingly difficult as slots are getting filled up. Our latest attempt only yielded 4 bags of kibble… As for online funding drives, they just aren't catching on, and we are left in an increasingly precarious situation trying to feed all our animals.
