Émile is an old cat who lives outdoors and often ends up injured in fights.
In addition to this, he has to deal with a calicivirus that has damaged his mouth. He has lost a lot of teeth and suffers from abscesses, making his meals particularly complicated: he cannot eat dry food at all.
A diet of canned food would be much more suitable for Émile. The cans would allow him to eat without pain, while providing sufficient nutritional intake despite his dental problems. This food, easier to consume, would help him maintain his strength despite his old age.
Our association takes care of about fifty free cats and twenty housed cats, a daily challenge. Between veterinary costs for care, sterilisations, vaccinations and identifications, the purchase of food is becoming more and more complicated.
Despite our collections and our raffle, we're struggling to keep up and are always operating at full capacity. Your help is essential to allow us to continue caring for all these cats who count on us.
