Vermouth is a cat we found outdoors, in critical condition. He was very thin and struggling to put on weight, due to bouts of diarrhoea. So, we took him in, to attempt to nurse him back to health.
Vermouth has a highly virulent cat flu, which seems to have been present for a long time. He has particularly severe breathing difficulties. Since he is a carrier of FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome), his immune system is unable to fight the virus...
A protein-rich food enriched with vitamins and minerals would help get Vermouth back on his feet. Access to such high-quality food and being able to eat to his heart's content daily would offer huge comfort, after all he's been through! Gradually, he could regain weight and recover better health.
We are in more need of pet food than ever before. Donations continue to decline, while the number of cats in need continues to rise... the association is overwhelmed!
