Ulcer on the tongue, missing teeth, inflamed gums: Teddy has a serious case of calicivirus!

1. He struggles a lot with feeding...

Nounours is a nine-year-old cat who suffers from chronic calicivirus. An ulcer on his tongue and inflamed gums make eating difficult, especially as he has no teeth remaining! Therefore, we provide him with medication to alleviate his discomfort.

2. He had to be hospitalised!

Nounours has anaemia and needed to be hospitalised for several days to regain his strength. He is also undergoing treatment for this.

3. Canned food could help him regain strength without pain

A wet diet would be ideal to allow Nounours to replenish his energy on a daily basis. It would also be a good way for him to ingest his various medications, while getting an adequate amount of nutrients.

4. The association is under-funded!

No less than 300 cats rely on us. Many of them require a specific diet, which is particularly expensive. Unfortunately, we are financially overstrained and desperately in need of more resources!
