Animal Webaction visited the site 05 April 2025 and confirms the situation described below.
“I don’t have a single bag of kibble left. It’s been weeks since I’ve had anything. The stray cats eat whatever scraps I can find—some leftovers, a bit of chicken… it depends on what I come across. But one thing is certain: they haven’t had a proper meal in a long time.
Donations have dried up. I posted an SOS on my Facebook page, explained that there’s no more kibble… but no one answered. So I do what I can with what I have. But it's getting really tough—especially now that kitten season has started. Several of the females are pregnant, and some have already given birth...
I get as many of them spayed as I can, but some slip through the cracks—either I don't spot them in time, or I simply can't afford it. And the cycle starts all over again. More mouths to feed, more medical needs, more expenses… and I’m already stretched beyond my limits. I’m doing everything I can… but without this campaign, I have no way to help them.”
“With no kibble to give them, the stray cats have no choice but to dig through trash to survive… It breaks my heart. They’re getting thinner and weaker by the day. Malnutrition is taking a toll, and if it continues, they’ll start getting sick. Health problems that could so easily be avoided—if only I had enough kibble to feed them.
I fight every day to make their lives a little better. I try to offer them some kind of stability, care, and safety. But these past weeks, it’s been a nightmare. Watching the animals I protect suffer, knowing I can’t do more, is draining—emotionally, mentally, and physically. I’m completely overwhelmed.
If nothing changes, if I don’t get kibble soon, things will only get worse. More cats will fall ill, and some won’t make it. And for me, that’s a heartbreaking burden to bear.”
“Cinema is about 8 years old. He’s been suffering from calicivirus lately, and it’s draining all his energy. He comes to my doorstep just to get something to eat.
But I have nothing left to offer him. And without kibble, without at least a little care, he has no chance of getting better—he’s far too weak. It’s exactly for cats like him that this campaign is so crucial. Every day without kibble brings him one step closer to the worst.”
“My financial situation is really difficult. Donations are at an all-time low, and caring for all these cats comes with constant costs: kibble, vet care, medications… Everything is expensive, and I just can’t keep up anymore.
I’ve reached out to several organizations, hoping to find a sponsor or a partnership—but most can’t help in Morocco. The one group that used to support me regularly can’t do so as often now, because they’re struggling with donations too. I’m still trying, but it’s getting harder by the day.
The little items I make and sell barely bring in any money—it’s not enough to meet the cats’ needs. I’ve even thought about taking out a loan… but that’s not a realistic option either. And with summer coming, I’ll have to add flea treatments, deworming… even more expenses. I do my best every single day, but I’m running out of options.”
“I can’t bear to see animals suffer. That’s what pushed me to start caring for strays. Life on the streets is hard—no shelter, no safety. They sleep under cars, rummage through garbage just to survive… Just yesterday, I found one dead on the road—hit by a car. Sometimes it feels like the suffering will never end.
That’s why your help matters so much. Your support gets me the kibble I need—and ultimately allows me to afford treatments, spay the females, and save the most vulnerable. Even a small gesture helps. A handful of kibble, a few euros… it can mean the difference between a cat going hungry or having something to eat, between life and death.
I know times are tough for everyone, but if we all give a little, together we can make a real difference. United we stand, divided we fall. Please—don’t let them fall.”
