1. In Morocco, Michèle is almost out of kibble to feed the 200 cats in her shelter… They will starve if no one steps in!

%%%

"These past weeks, we've carried out countless rescues: pregnant females, litters of kittens, sick cats—ringworm, calicivirus... Every day, we take in new animals in distress, and with them comes the responsibility to care for them, feed them, give them a chance. But this effort comes at a cost, and now, it’s the food that’s reaching a critical point...

Our kibble stock is nearly empty: there are barely two bags left… for 200 cats! Two bags are nothing. And cat kibble is really expensive. Some of the more fragile cats need specific food, even more costly, which we can no longer afford to provide right now.

We’re scraping by with leftovers, trying to manage, but some are already starting to lose weight. The situation is unbearable! Right now, the priority is simple: kibble. To feed them, to avoid leaving hundreds of cats behind..."

2. Many cats at the shelter are sick, and some are deteriorating quickly... The weakest ones won’t survive without kibble.

###

"Moroccan cats are very fragile… As soon as it rains or the temperature changes, it never fails—they get sick. Last month, we had a lot of rain, and as a result, several cats got sick—sneezing, runny noses, exhausted...

We have to give them antibiotics non-stop. And with all the kittens we've taken in, and the cats suffering from ringworm… that adds even more vet expenses, while we're already struggling just to get kibble!

The cats are starting to lose weight… For the most fragile ones, it’s a disaster. Their immune systems are too weak to handle the shortage. If we could just get this kibble, we could finally breathe, and be sure that all our cats are out of danger, even the most vulnerable..."

3. Weakened by cancer and missing a leg, Mezyan is too fragile to go without kibble.

###

"Mezyan is a male, around 9 years old. He’s been living at the shelter for several years, after locals called us. He had lost a leg in an accident… We didn’t hesitate, we took him under our care.

After a few peaceful years, he developed nasal cancer. Unfortunately, this is common in cats. Now, he struggles to eat, and we have to moisten his kibble so he can swallow it. His condition is stable, but he is very weak… he barely moves, he sleeps a lot. His immune system is at its lowest.

For him, kibble is vital! He can’t survive even the slightest shortage, his body wouldn’t cope..."

4. Kibble is too expensive, suppliers are pressing, donations are insufficient: Michèle needs a wave of solidarity to feed the cats who depend on her.

###

"I’m overwhelmed by the costs. 1000 dogs, 200 cats… The number of animals under our care is huge, and so are the expenses to feed them! Food is by far our biggest expense, and for the cats, it’s especially costly. Not to mention litter, medical care, and everything else.

We’re talking about thousands of euros every month, just so they can survive. I don’t know where to find the money anymore. Even with regular support, even by putting most of my retirement pension into it, it’s not enough.

Kibble is the emergency. It’s not something we can postpone! And the suppliers don’t give us any leeway: it’s pay upfront or nothing. The budget is under constant pressure; and so am I… I fight every day for my animals, tirelessly. But now, we really need help to make it through..."

5. Michèle isn’t asking for money, only kibble to prevent the cats from starving.

###

"I’m 70 years old, I’m sick, tired… But I keep going, because animals are my whole life. I love them deeply, I’m fully committed, even at the cost of my health and comfort. This fight is costly: financially, physically, emotionally. It’s a total commitment, one that takes up everything.

It never stops. People bring us animals every day. They’re touched when they see a wounded dog or cat, but they can’t care for them, so they turn to us. It’s good, it shows that mentalities are changing, especially among young people. But for us, it’s a huge financial burden to bear...

Every donation counts, no matter the amount. It helps us feed, treat, sterilize, respond to emergencies. Every gesture you can make is truly vital: not only for our animals, but also for us! To give us strength, to help us feel supported. To remind us that we’re not alone in caring about the fate of these innocent beings..."

6. By taking action now, you can help Michèle receive 3000 kilos of kibble.

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

8. In Morocco, donors are scarce, and there are no foundations or subsidies. It is very difficult to find funding for kibble, many cats are left to starve on the street!
