Animal Webaction cannot be held responsible for dog deaths due to the absence of kibble.
1) In Romania, Lucian has no more kibble to feed the 428 dogs AT Remember Me Land's shelter . If no one does anything, they'll starve to death!
"Mud invades the boxes when it rains or snow melts, there are not enough kennels for the dogs to protect against the cold or heat in summer, the puppies are almost all sick, there are too many dogs at the shelter and not enough room for all of them.
All these problems are difficult to face at the same time, but this is our reality and we have to face it. Today we can't afford to buy kibbles, we are desperate... We need help!"
2) The shelter is full and fights have already broken out: without food the dogs will be even more aggressive and might kill each other!
"There are too many dogs at the shelter, which is a lot of work for the few shelter staff, we need more food than we can provide, which means we provide less care for sick dogs, there are more fights, so more injuries.
The dogs need to eat every day and we can't plan long term with what we have left at the shelter, there is clearly not enough kibble for all the dogs, they are starting to fight, they are going to get thin so they are not strong enough to fight the disease, they may die... It's even harder for puppies that are fragile!"
3) Pippin still bears the traces of the violence he suffered from in the street, without kibbles, he will know hunger...
"The dogcatcher fired point-blank at Pippin, his eye exploded... It's a real trauma, I couldn't heal him so he'll be blind forever. He also had to undergo a bad operation because he has a limp, his front leg is extremely painful...
His condition is critical, he needs treatment but even if we find the funding, it will be in vain if he has an empty stomach..."
4) Lucian is a veterinarian, he dedicates his life to animals in need, but he can't buy kibble alone, he needs help!
"I can operate, sterilize or treat the dogs, but if there is no food to offer them, all these efforts become useless because they will not survive on an empty stomach...
I give all my time for the animals, in my clinic and at the shelter, I do my best for each animal I meet: sick, old or handicapped? Because too many dogs wander the streets, sad and hungry, they are everywhere, there is so much to do but not enough time, not enough means..."
5) Lucian doesn't ask for money, just kibble to keep the dogs from starving...
"We have so many dogs to save, to operate, to treat... We are doing our best with the association Remember Me to adopt as many dogs as possible so that they can finally have a good life. Everything we do, our fight for them, for their happiness, is useless if we can't feed them..."
6) If this action succeeds, Remember Me association will not receive any money but 3840 kg of kibbles, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Romania.
Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Romania, still active despite the confinement, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.
7) Lucian and Remember Me don't have enough support and too many expenses, this call for help is their last hope to feed the 428 dogs of the shelter!
"There are already too many associations everywhere that need to be helped, and people forget the problems if they are far away from them and don't really see them, they don't realize the fight we are fighting, we are just one problem among many.
They forget our fight when they turn off the computer. But I have to face it every day, I have to find new solutions to feed the dogs so that they don't starve to death.
We do our best to ask people to help us, but unfortunately, these days are harder and we have nothing left to buy food, and donations are the only way for us to get kibble."

9) In Romania, it is difficult to find funding for kibbles, there is no aid, no grant, no foundation... Many abandoned dogs die alone in the streets, with no one looking...

11) Restrictions related to lockdown did not allow us to meet the volunteer for this action
Due to the current health crisis, Romania has been placed in lockdown for over a month now. As movements have been drastically reduced and controlled, it was impossible for us to meet Lucian to prepare this action.
However, Animal Webaction visited Remember Me Land only a few months ago. We are in close contact with Lucian (who helped us prepare this campaign), and grant him all our trust.
