1) In Romania, Cerasela will soon have no more kibble to feed the 220 dogs locked in Breasta's pound. The town hall won't give any: if nobody does anything, these locked up dogs will starve!
"The small amount of food provided by the town hall is of very poor quality, so even when the dogs can eat at the beginning of the month, they don't have enough nutrients to fight off diseases.
Even worse, the kibble is so bad that most dogs don't even eat it, even if they are hungry! That says a lot about the seriousness of the situation...
Today the municipality's stock has been sold out for a while, so I have to go to the supermarket to buy some, but I can't afford it anymore!
All this is very difficult to manage, especially when you do all the work alone. But I won't give up, because that would mean the dogs would have no one and die alone at the pound without ever knowing the joy of being loved by a family."
2) Cerasela is afraid for the 220 dogs at the pound: without kibble, they won't survive the miserable living conditions!
"The dogs at the pound are very sick because of the bad living conditions they have to endure, moreover, they are infected by ticks that drain them of all their energy...
Unfortunately, dogcatchers bring new dogs to the pound every day! All these new dogs are in such a state that I have to take care of them, I can't leave them sick and wounded while they are locked up in horrible cages, no I can't.
The problem is that even if a dog arrives at the pound in good health, he always gets sick because the other dogs are contagious: there are far too many of them in each box: diseases spread at a lightning speed!
They can't survive this horrible situation without being properly fed!"
3) Traumatized by the violence he suffered from in the street, Max will not survive the living conditions in the pound without kibble!
"I don't know Max's story, he was recently taken to the pound by dogcatchers. I can see he's scared, afraid of humans. I imagine that he must have had traumatic experiences in the past, and I wish he could know the love of a family... Unfortunately, if he doesn't eat kibble, he won't have the strength to fight the diseases that are spreading in the boxes..."
4) Cerasela, who is trying to save these dogs, doesn't want to receive any money, just kibble to prevent them from starving to death!
"Dogs are my whole life, they mean everything to me, so I do my best to give them a chance at a better life. I won't give up while I'm alive!
If I could get more support, it would be so much easier, not only because there is so much to do, but also because I could at least count on someone. There is so much pain and stress to deal with on a daily basis when helping abandoned dogs, that I really feel alone and useless sometimes . "
5) If this action succeeds, Cerasela will not receive any money but 3200 kg of kibbles, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Romania.
Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Romania, still active despite the confinement, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.
6) In Romania, it is difficult to find funding for kibbles, there is no aid, no grant, no foundation... Many abandoned dogs die alone in the streets, with no one looking...

10) Restrictions related to lockdown did not allow us to meet the volunteer for this action
Due to the current health crisis, Romania has been placed in lockdown for over a month now. As movements have been drastically reduced and controlled, it was impossible for us to meet Cerasela to prepare this action.
However, Animal Webaction visited Breasta's pound only a few months ago. We are in close contact with Cerasela (who helped us prepare this campaign), and grant her all our trust.
