Animal Webaction cannot be held responsible for dog deaths due to the absence of kibble.
"I work tirelessly to help the dogs, all dogs. I feed around 20 stray dogs everyday, on top of the dogs I already have at the shelter. Unfortunately, I can't take them all in, my shelter is already at maximum capacity, there's no more space.
I have plans to extend the shelter in the future but right now this really isn't something I can achieve due to lack of funds. Even if things are difficult, I can never pass by a 4 legged friend on the street without helping.
During this time of quarantine, I was really worried, because I couldn't go and check up on dogs later in the evening. All these dogs depend on me, if I don't feed them, they will need to find food on their own and maybe even starve..."
"I have 50 dogs under my care at the shelter. With the pandemic, a few people have been leaving dogs in front of my shelter because they could not take care of them anymore and...they knew I would. At the same time, the adoptions heavily dropped and so did the donations.
All of this increases the number of dogs that I need to take care of, which also increases the amount of food and money that need to be spent on them...At this point the lack of food is a huge problem and it is really bad for the dogs.
My main concern is that the dogs will starve. At this time, I only have one bag of kibble left, I've already been obliged to buy food from my own pocket but I can no longer go on like this... The situation is critical."
"I found Jack on the streets a few months ago, in a horrible state. He had a skin condition and also had heart worms and a few problems with his nose, so I took him to the shelter immediately.
Today Jack is slowly getting better, but he lost part of his nose because of the treatment. I give him medicine daily and need to keep a close eye on him.
Jack is a large dog, he needs a lot of food to maintain his health. Given his past issues, his state could worsen very quickly if he doesn't eat"
"I started taking care of animals around ten years ago. I created the shelter six years ago and that's when I really started taking in dogs from the streets and giving them proper care.
I really love animals but in the past few months, the situation has been very hectic. The pandemic has impacted a lot of things. I've had fewer donations, I don't have money left for food and I also have some debts at the vets.
I need funds to cover everything from vet costs like chipping, neutering, vaccinations and more complicated procedures, and above all, FOOD."
"I share a very big emotional connection with animals so naturally, I feel really sad when I see how street dogs are treated here. I constantly find new abandoned dogs and I try to help them but that doesn’t always work. When something happens to them, it really hits me...
Also, I am an older lady so the everyday choirs are getting more and more difficult everyday for me physically. But through my every-day rush, sometimes burdened with worries, some people help me remember what an important part I am in the lives of those around me.
Some have told me that they still see my eyes when they look into the eyes of the dogs they adopted from me...It's things like these that help me keep going"
Animal Webaction has a logistics centre in North Macedonia, still active despite the pandemic, which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.
"I have a large number of dogs and a lack of money. With the drop in donations, we need to move mountains to help the animals in need in Skopje!
I work so hard all the time, and I will not give up in trying to make the world a better place. I would be so grateful for the support you give me - be it with your words of encouragement, love, help, or donations, your help is always needed.
We need to buy more food, and for this - we depend on you."
When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The organizer doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.
