Despite care and medication, Rox is covered in parasites !

1. His immune system is less effective...

Rox has feline leukemia: his immune system is very weakened, making him much more vulnerable to viruses and parasites.

2. He is so parasitized that he can no longer gain weight!

Since Rox's immune system is unable to defend him against parasites, he is constantly being invaded by them (despite all the care and medication we give him).

Because of this, he has a lot of trouble gaining weight and he is very skinny...

3. He lives outside!

In spite of his illness and the vulnerability it implies, Rox lives outside, with nowhere to take shelter.

4. With canned food, he could gain a little weight back.

Canned food would give Rox enough energy to gain some weight, despite the parasites and disease.

5. We have a very large area to manage!

Our association is now managing a much larger area than before. We recover a lot of sick cats, kittens and pregnant kittens. All this increases the veterinary costs, which we can't see the end of!
