1. In Romania, Daniela will soon run out of kibble to feed the 600 dogs in her shelter. They will starve if nobody helps them!
"We have about 600 hundred dogs, many of them would have died if we hadn’t taken them in, fed them and often helped them heal from their injuries.
We've been getting by these past few months, but feeding them is extremely difficult, as we don’t have a lot of donations coming in and many animals to care for. Running the shelter during the winter requires even more energy and resources, we really need this campaign to succeed. We are desperate for help, it is urgent.
I am under constant stress, I’m always worrying about the next day. We rescue animals from all over the country, not just the city of Desa, so being able to shelter all of them makes a huge difference. I am sad, I am struggling, but I will never give up trying to help them."
2. Found in a very poor condition, Micul has been taken in the shelter a few days ago, despite the difficulties. But he needs kibbles to be able to recover.
"Micul arrived just about a week ago at the shelter, he was found in Desa. He suffers from a skin disease, is very weak and only skin and bones.
He is still very frightened, for now he usually just sleeps, and rarely moves around. We have to be careful while taking care of him, so he can recover. We are giving him medicine as well, but he needs good food to get by."
3. Daniela's shelter is the only one in place over hundreds of kilometres. If she can no longer rescue abandoned dogs in the area, no one will.
"There are still dogs getting abandoned in Desa and in the area, we try to save as many as we can. I do everything in my power to save every dog I can. I could never leave an abandoned dog behind, I couldn’t bear the thought.
I’m very worried about not being able to provide food and medical care for these animals, I'm doing everything in my power to try and avoid such a situation. I can't imagine it, it would be horrible.
I try to focus all my energy on doing my best for all our animals, and I hope more people will find it in their hearts to help us so we can save more without worrying about whether we can provide for them."
4. Donations are insufficient to keep the shelter afloat, Daniela is already burdened with debts, she can no longer buy kibbles.
"We rely entirely on donations from other people. There have been no sponsorships or partnerships established over the last few months unfortunately. We get donations, but they barely keep us running from day to day, and convincing people to donate is a 24/7 effort.
I already have a lot of debts, I don't even know the exact sum anymore, but it is in thousands of euros, so it is getting increasincly difficult to manage this way.
I can’t do everything on my own because we have so many animals, we rely on the kindness of strangers to help all the souls at my shelter. I can’t express how grateful I am for your help. It is essential for our dogs."
5. Daniela is not asking to receive any money, only kibbles to keep the dogs from starving.
"I believe I was born with a love for animals. I grew up with animals and I have loved them since I was a child. I don't have children and I think that's why my love for dogs is so powerful.
Since I opened the shelter I’ve devoted my life to helping them. The shelter has grown a lot since the beginning and I am very happy to have been able to help so many abandoned souls.
This has cost me greatly on a personal level, even as far as relationships with other people are concerned. I invest all my time and resources for these animals, it is extremely difficult and costly, but I believe I am doing what I should be doing."
6. If this campaign succeeds, Daniela will not receive any money but 3000 kg of kibbles, delivered from the Animal Webaction logistics platform in Romania.

7. Daniela is doing everything she can to get more support, but her efforts are not enough. Desperate for help, she doesn't know what else to do, and is counting on this campaign.
"All my efforts go to promoting the shelter on social media and trying to get people to donate anything they can. Maybe people are donating less in these uncertain times.
I don't know what else to do. I am constantly communicating for our shelter, we also have local media that sometimes report on the shelter so that we can get more donations, but it is not enough".
