Emphysema and tachycardia... Bogoss probably has a hay allergy!

1. He was going to the slaughterhouse...

Bogoss was saved by another association from the slaughterhouse, where he would have ended up with his mother when he was only one year old! We then took him in to take care of him. He is now ten years old.

2. He probably has a hay allergy!

Bogoss has emphysema, coughs a lot, and has a fast heartbeat. Straw and hay cause him to have attacks, during which it is very difficult for him to breathe. We have to be very careful so that this happens as seldom as possible.

3. Pellets would allow him to gain strength without having an attack

To replace hay, pellets would be perfect for Bogoss. They would allow him to regain his energy without the risk of an allergic attack!

4. We are desperately short of funds!

We receive far fewer donations than we used to, and the little money we have left is used to buy hay and fodder. This represents a big monthly budget, plus veterinary expenses...

But the hay is not enough for the horses anymore... They will need pellets, which we unfortunately cannot afford to buy!
