1. In France, Monique has no kibble left to feed more than 500 free cats who rely on her... They risk starving!

"There are about ten volunteers in my association, together we feed between 500 and 600 street cats in more than fifty different sites. The amount of kibble needed to feed all these cats in need is enormous… Unfortunately, we have reached the end of our kibble stock.

Today, our means only allow us to buy a few bags of cheap kibble every now and then… but we won't be able to cope much longer. We are the only ones helping cats in our area. Without kibble, their health will deteriorate until they starve to death… We urgently need help to prevent this!"

2. The vet is asking that several thousand euros in bills are settled before the end of the month… it is a disaster!

"This year the number of sick cats has increased a lot. Care, medication, surgeries… it is all very expensive. Some veterinary bills have remained unpaid, we were hoping to unlock some funds. Unfortunately, the situation is not getting any better!

In fact, it is even getting worse: veterinary fees have accumulated to several thousands of euros that we are now asked to pay back. We are completely helpless and we do not know how to keep going. In these conditions, buying kibble has become almost impossible!"

3. Mascotte lost a leg following an accident, she won't make it without kibble…

"Mascotte is a free cat who had to be amputated. The poor thing got stuck in a fence while trying to climb it. Her back leg was too badly damaged and the vet had to remove it.

The loss of a leg is a major handicap in Mascotte's daily life. She has difficulty moving around and it is even more difficult for her to avoid danger. As she lives outside, it is almost impossible for her to find food. She needs us to give her kibble, otherwise she won't survive!"

4. From decreasing donations to non-existent subsidies, the association is at a dead end!

"At the moment we are seeing a drop in donations. In addition, we still haven't received any grant from the municipality so we have to pay for everything ourselves.

Plus, every one of us has been affected by the crisis as well and our personal finances are already stretched as far as they will go. We have no money left!"

5. Monique is not asking for money, only kibble to feed street cats in her care.

"I have been devoting my time to animal welfare for 20 years now. One day, I found some abandoned kittens in the countryside… while helping them, I met the volunteers of an association and I started to feed the cats in need.

One starts helping for a few hours a week and then little by little ends up taking care of the cats all day and all night long! I don't go on holiday any more, because I can't afford it. All my money goes primarily to the cats. In my association, we are all rather old, with health problems… and our finances are not extensible. Help would be more than welcome!"
