"In addition to the 150 cats in our shelter, we take care of about 100 free cats, spread over 8 different sites. Unfortunately, we can no longer cope! We're out of kibble because the little money we have goes immediately into emergency care for injured or sick cats.

2. The economic crisis has had a huge impact on the association : with donations and memberships in sharp decline, they no longer have money to feed the cats!
"With the economic crisis, we lost a lot of members this year. COVID has also prevented us from doing some in-store collections, which has greatly reduced our ability to receive donations.
The shelter is a mobile home, where we live with the cats in it. All our income goes directly to the felines in need. Several years ago, we received an inheritance... but all the money went to help the cats, and now, there is nothing left."
3. Just operated on her eyes, Samantha is very thin and weakened... She will not make it without kibble!
"Samantha is a 4 year old cat, who had a very bad case of coryza. We treated her, but after a while she had serious problems with her eyes: one was perforated and the other one ulcerated. We had to operate and do a transplant so that she would not lose her sight completely.
After a week spent at the vet, she is now in convalescence. As she is wild, we will have to release her very quickly on her original site... Still very thin and weakened by her operation, she will not survive if we do not have kibble to give her! "
4. Between the abandonments and the kitten births, the association has many more mouths to feed!
"Abandonments have increased dramatically in the last year. We have had to take care of several cats that we found on the side of the road...
In addition to these cats, we've rescued many kittens: because of the different lockdowns, it has been more difficult for us to carry sterilization programs. As a direct consequence, there were a lot of births. Once weaned, these little ones will only add to the many mouths we already have to feed."
5. Brigitte isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the street cats from starving.
"It's been 18 years since I started a shelter for free cats and have been an advocate for the animal cause. I have devoted all my money to cats in need, and today I have nothing left...
I devote all my time to them, but what might happen next worries me a lot... What will happen to them if I can no longer help? ".
